Little Miss Independent

Every morning Shelby goes into her room and chooses to dress herself for the day. This is a great thing although about 99% of the outfits she picks out are completely mismatched. Some days I try to pick out a couple of different outfits that she can choose from that I've already put together. She still refuses to wear these clothes and proceeds to pick out her own. So today when she desperately wanted to wear a purple and green patterned shirt with lime green, purple,blue, and white striped shorts I decided to try and give her a lesson on matching. I pulled a couple of shirts out of her drawer that would match her shorts and explained to her that when we wear a patterned bottom we should match it with a solid colored t-shirt instead of a patterned t-shirt. I also told her that she should choose a top that has one of the colors from her bottoms on it. The end result was this....pink and white striped capri pants with the purple and green patterned shirt. I just don't think she got it. She made me laugh anyway. This picture just doesn't do it enough justice. She's a nut! I love you Shelby!
