Blaine's parents moved to Utah not too long ago and we finally got the chance to go and visit them. I have only been to the Salt Lake Valley once(for like a day) and forgotten how beautiful it is! I fell in love with the weather while we were there, the houses, and all the mountains. Seriously, it was gorgeous! I could totally live there if I didn't have to deal with the snow. I love my warmth too much! And honestly the drive wasn't all that bad. I was thinking it would be much worse with the kids, not too mention we had my sister-in-law's two dogs with us, but everything went smoothly and even the drive was pretty. The kids had so much fun playing outside, going to the children's museum downtown, Temple Square (We went on a Friday and Shelby loved seeing all the brides), and the dinosaur museum. They were so pooped they slept 13 hours for me last night!!! That NEVER happens! I feel like there is still so much for us to see. I can't wait to go back!
Picnic in Temple Square...the flowers are SO pretty right now.
The kids with Blaine's parents.
Uncovering bones.
Blaine's best dinosaur impersonation.
Blaine's aunt bought this car at DI for super cheap. She only had to buy a new battery for it. The kids loved this! I'm going to start shopping for one.
This is behind Blaine's aunt's house. Look at the mountains...oh so pretty!

We have been wanting to go to Utah too- now with these pictures, I really want to go! I am scared of the drive also!
Great family picture! Looks like you guys had so much fun...and the views of everything (flowers, mountains, etc.) are spectacular!
I'm glad to hear that the drive wasn't that bad, cause we have 2 family reunions in Utah this summer that I wasn't looking forward to driving to. It is beautiful there.. we haven't been since we lived in Provo 5 years ago. That little car is awesome!! I'd love to get one for the girls too!
Gorgeous! How fun to take a trip this time of year. The kids look like they had a blast!
When you said that Shelby loved seeing the brides made me think of a story that a lady in my ward told me last week. When they go to Utah, they love to sit at Temple Square and watch the brides. Well her 7 year old daughter used to think that it was a castle and they were princesses coming out of the castle...I could totally see that! Happy to hear you had a great time...you guys were missed though...
It was wonderful to meet you. Next time you guys come up for a visit. Let us know in advance and we can plan a better lunch date or playdate for the kids.
