WAR with the Roaches!

**WARNING:This post may creep some people out!

This summer we have had a big cockroach problem. I'm talking BIG roaches not the tiny ones you could hit with a shoe or catch with a paper towel or something. These are like 3 inches long. We thought the situation was under control because we hadn't seen one in awhile. Well, I saw one the other night in the bathroom so I ran to get the vacuum(we have found this to be the quickest and most efficient method for roach killing) and suck it up but it was quicker than I was and ran into our bedroom. It was nowhere to found so I figured it would pop up later or just get out on its own. Well last night I went to bed and woke up around midnight. I swear I felt creepy crawlies on my skin and I woke up all confused after I had slapped my arm. I kind of felt something going to the floor and sure enough it was the cockroach that scurried along the floor in our bedroom. I got up and went to the bathroom only to find it on the wall so what did I do...ran to get the vacuum. By the time I was all ready to suck the bug up again, it was gone. It has yet to be seen today. Now the question is...is this the same croach(as Shelby calls them) I had seen the previous night or is it a different one? Are they coming to take over my house? Whatever it may be that roach is out to get me I swear. It's on! I'll be waiting with my vacuum! Just looking at this picture creeps me out.

We would get a few in our condo too! I blamed the guy under us- I thought maybe he was a really nasty dirty person. LOL They were sick-but I hope this helps knowing that it isnt just you!

Oh how I don't miss cockroaches! I grew up with those big huge flying ones. We are so lucky with our house now! We almost never see bugs. A cricket every great once in a while is all we see. We have tons of lizards in our backyard, so they do a great job of eating all of the bugs! Hopefully it's just the same one running around and not lots! (and how funny with the vacuum..i've never heard of that!)

Okay, so Thursday or Friday night I tried posting a comment, but it didn't post! UGH! Anyway, what I said was that I'm glad it was you and not me because I HATE cockroaches! Then again I do have the friendly visitors of termites...there are now three termite mounds in our bedroom. It's disgusting.
