As I walked into sacrament meeting this morning the young women in our ward were practicing the song, "Walk Tall You're A Daughter of God". Hearing that song brought back so many memories of my young women's experience and how much I learned and grew from the program. It was in young women's that I gained my testimony and realized my individual worth. I had not heard this song in so many years and as I listened and silently sang the words I couldn't help but think how I could still apply this to my life. I know that I am a daughter of God and still need to be strong, remembering who I am and what I stand for. I looked at Shelby while they were singing and said a quiet prayer that she will one day be able to sing that song and know the words are true. I hope that she realizes and understands her great worth and is able to stand tall in trying times and rise above them. I just hope I am able to teach her and guide her in the right direction. This world is becoming quite scary and we are now, more than ever, going to have to remember these simple teachings to help us remember our purpose here on Earth. I found a picture of the young women's logo and maybe I'm completely unobservant but I never noticed the silhouette of a woman with the flame in the middle. I always just thought it was the three flames. Hmmm...ya I'm definitely not very observant because that is pretty obvious.

I agree with you. That is my favorite song from young women's. It really is cool how all of the young women values and teachings are still applicable to us now. I can't wait to be in Young womens as a leader again someday. It's such a great reminder!
Yah, I hear you. Instead of a page-turner, I need someone to sit at the piano and wipe tears from my eyes so I can see the music. I absolutely love that song.
HAHA! You never noticed the girl? You crack me up...
I love the small reminders of the simple things in life- that is why I loved being in primary. The world can get so complicated but our values are always simple and true. Thank you for the reminder.
Oh my gosh! I just noticed the picture of you and your family- I LOVE YOUR HAIR!
Thanks Rebekah...I got gutsy and chopped it all off. I'm finally adjusted to the change.:)
