Doctor, Doctor

The kids and I have all been sick this past week...UCK! Actually we have all been sick on and off for the month and a half. You better believe I cleaned triple duty this weekend, busting out the Lysol, bleach, and opening all the doors and windows in the house! A couple of nights ago the baby cried practically the whole night and Blaine and I would find him next to the fridge wanting milk but I didn't notice any ear tugging, his fever was gone, and he was super tired. So I attributed his horrible night to just being sick in general and being overly tired and decided to wait it out and see if the next night was better. Well yesterday I layed him down for his nap and when I heard him screaming a half hour into it I knew something was wrong. I went to check on him and he was practically punching his left ear. I thought to myself he's definitely got an ear infection and was able to get him into the doctor that afternoon. I took him in and the whole time we're in there he is crying, "I want to go hooome. I want take a nap. Mommy....purse. I want to go hooome nooow." It was pretty traumatizing for him apparently. So this marks another set of firsts for Blaine...his first ear infection. He hates the medicine and spits most of it out, but rest assured he is feeling much better today and is back to his active self protesting his naps! I must admit I enjoyed the cuddles, random hugs, random kisses, and early naps and bedtimes. HOWEVER, it is much better to just have a healthy child!

Yes, I was "that mom" and busted out the camera while my sick son was throwing a fit in the doctor's office:)
